  • "Outsides" starting in June

    The Haus am Wehrsteg brings comics together with the Prinzhorn Collection: In his work "Duftsäckchen aus besseren Zeiten" (scented bags from better times), Mannheim-based illustrator and comic artist Mehrdad Zaeri (*1970) deals with the artist Martina Kügler (1945-2017) from the Prinzhorn Collection. From June 1, the work, printed on a large-format canvas, can be seen on the façade of the Haus am Wehrsteg.

  • Network of open studios in Baden-Württemberg

    In Germany, there are many so-called open studios, i.e. supervised creative workshops for people with psychiatric experience and/or cognitive impairment. Their number has grown considerably since the 1960s. Here, the artistic talent of men and women with assistance needs is encouraged. However, these institutions are often barely visible to the public. It is therefore almost impossible for interested artists, art lovers or curators to get an overview. The project "Networking open studios in Baden-Württemberg" now aims to change this.

    Educational film on the exhibition "People who could still have lived" online

    The exhibition is now accompanied by an educational film produced by Thomas Röske and Maike Rotzoll for the Lancet Commission on Medicine, Nazism and the Holocaust's Teacher Training programme. It can be used in future by teachers from medicine, other healthcare professions and other educational programmes.
